Oh no!

We've all done it – written an email in the heat of the moment and then regretted sending it once we have cooled off a bit. We have probably all sent an email and realised it was addressed to the wrong person too – an error on the keyboard that can be embarrassing at best and possibly grounds for dismissal at worst.

This week, the BBC reported that Gmail had introduced an "undo send" function that allows you to cancel an email up to 30 seconds after pressing SEND. The development of this option was partly one result of the thousands of internet searches for "how to undo sent email". Users of Gmail can choose to delay the sending of messages by 10, 20 or 30 seconds as standard – more than enough time to stop a sensitive or badly-worded email.

Research has shown that amongst office workers, 78% have mistakenly forwarded a delicate message to the wrong person – so this new function will no doubt be popular amongst those who email at work. With cases of workers being fired for getting their email etiquette wrong, any tool offering help has to be a good thing. Furthermore, as more and more of us work from home when overtired or stressed, then we can understand how mistakes can happen.

Whether or not you choose to use this new function, one thing you can be sure of is it will not be a mistake to use the online directory EWNGetsIt.com.

If you are looking for a service or product in your town or city then simply log on to the online directory and all the details you need will be at your fingertips in your own language.

If you are in business, then get your company listed – simply contact the team on 952 561 245 or email them on directory@ewngetsit.com.
